Betway SA20 and King Price Renew Insurance Partnership
King Price stays as SA20 insurance partner in a multi-year renewal, keeping the umpire review moments and walk-out.

Betway SA20 and King Price have extended their partnership for several more years, keeping the insurer as the league's Proud Insurance Partner. The renewal covers the role King Price has made its own: the umpire review moments and the umpire walk-out at every match. It is a quiet corner of the broadcast that the company has turned into a signature, and the new deal keeps it in place for Season 5 and beyond.
The scale of that role is easy to miss. King Price owned the review moments and the walk-out across all 34 matches of Season 4, which means its branding was part of every decision review and every official's entrance for a full season. Multi-year renewals usually follow when both sides are happy with the arrangement, and this one keeps a familiar sight on screen for the 34 matches of Season 5, from the opener on 17 January to the final on 21 February 2027.
League commissioner Graeme Smith framed the deal as recognition for officials, arguing that umpires deserve a visible place in the show. King Price's head of marketing, De Wet van Deventer, made the same point from the sponsor's side: the partnership puts officials at the centre rather than treating them as background. It is an unusual sponsorship pitch, and it has now survived into a second cycle.
King Price itself was founded in 2012, which makes it a young company by insurance standards and a fitting partner for a league that began in 2023. The renewal sits alongside the league's other commercial business ahead of Season 5, and it removes one question from the pre-season list at a time when tickets are the bigger story: general sale for Season 5 opened on 5 November 2026 through the SA20 website.
For viewers, nothing changes except continuity. The review moments will look the same, the walk-out will look the same, and the officials will keep the recognition the deal was built around. In a pre-season full of new signings and auction prices, a renewed partnership is the least dramatic announcement of the winter, and that is exactly the point: some parts of the league are settled enough to simply carry on. The timing matters too, because with the squads finalised at the auction and the insurance partnership renewed, the remaining pre-season questions are about tickets and grounds rather than sponsors, and the league's attention now turns to filling the six venues from 17 January.
