Newlands Cricket Ground in Cape Town, Western Cape, hosts 6 SA20 games in Season 5, including this one. It is the home ground of MI Cape Town, who play their five home league games here. The published capacity is 25,000. Ground facts on this site are published figures only, and the capacity figure carries a note that SA20 has not reconfirmed it for 2027, so it is shown as published rather than as a current official figure.
These two sides meet again in match 9 on 24 Jan 2027 at Boland Park. That return game has the home side switched, so each side gets one home game in this pairing. It is the only SA20 game on Friday, so the evening belongs to this fixture alone.
The stored start is 17:30 SAST. That is 20:30 in Pakistan, 21:00 in India and 15:30 in the UK, all on the same day. Readers in Pakistan and India get an evening game, while readers in the UK get an afternoon start. The timings page lists every match in all four zones, and this page shows only this game's four clocks so the conversion is easy to check.
When the result is in, it will appear on the results page and the points table will move from there. Until then this page stays a fixture preview, not a report. Broadcast partners for Season 5 were not confirmed when this preview was written, so no channel is named here. The streaming page will name the official broadcaster for each country once it is confirmed.
